This is an actual 16 ton truck driven going over an 800 foot cliff for the movie Battle Truck (1981) or also called Warlords of the 21st Century. The truck was driven to the edge of the cliff by legendary stunt man Buddy Joe Hooker who bailed out at the last second. SFX, pyrotechnics and explosives staged by Jonnie Burke and Kevin Chisnall. No minatures or CGI were used in this sequence. This is the largest motorized film prop ever built in New Zealand at 12 metres long, 3.4 metres high and 2.4 metres wide.
