This video is a little overview of the notable personalities and events in Australia and New Zealand. It mainly focuses on the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. Johnny Doyle and Jim Barnett took Australia from a respectable market to one of the hottest in the world in the 1960s and 1970s. All the top names toured Australia and nearby New Zealand began picking up steam in the 1970s. When Australia’s WCW was taken off Network Nine, it quickly sunk. New Zealand hooked up with the NWA and saw some good years into the 1980s before it, like the rest of the NWA, fell into obscurity.
