My Uncle Aston’s 1964 Austin MINI MOKE … The one inherited in 2009 (and thus finaly restored) – by: JOHN GOVAN (My 1st Cousin) Hence the TAGS: GOVAN registration personalised NZ Vehicle plate Original 1964 fully restored like BRAND NEW Uncle Aston’s Austin MINI MOKE these were produced with “10inch” wheels “New Zealand” vintage Type Family Car English_Austin UK Cooper farm vehicle front-wheel-drive automobiles cars notice old leather WW-I flying helmet willie used filming BATTLETRUCK within our orchard farm estate 1978 And yes… THAT old “Flying Helmet” from WW-I vintage .. THAT WAS the one “WILLIE” wore.. when they filmed BATTLETRUCK .. on our old Orchard.. Where they “sited” the main village of: CLEARWATER After all– it was “on” the Clare estate .. and Dip Creek which flows through there.. was “crystaline clear” .. Hence.. An apt useage for the film village title. Clearwater Village. The whole area.. has long since been reverted to flat cultivated land.. andf NONE of the props.. “site” is visible now.. NOT EVEN MY DAD’s “old” Earthern & Rock “MUDBRICK” Packing Shed.. that Rusty had as his “Blacksmith’s Forge”. It’s all just open farmland again. However.. Sometimes.. things that used to be.. GET a second life. Such is why. My Uncle Aston’s old farm truck .. (the): AUSTIN 1964 MINI MOKE ? It lives again: To drive yet another road.
