How to install/remove air filter on a Chevy Malibu 08-2011 LTZ

by Craig on 04/11/2012

Here is how to change the engine air filter on a 2011 Chevy Malibu LTZ 2.4L 4cylinder. Might be same method for 2008 and up LS LT and LTZ models. I looked on youtube, couldn’t really find anything for 2008 and above when changing mine, so I made this video and hope it helps. Used standard stock ACDelco Filter, I have used K&N with my other cars they work good, but with this car, I am going to just keep stock replacement filters. Changed my filter for the first time with 15k miles, manual says to change at 50k miles, but since I live in the desert of AZ hence the dusty motor. I will change at every 15k. Sorry had to disable comments since it became a back in forth on what filters are better. Hopefully video just gives you guidance on how to install and remove whatever filter you choose.
