–The Tale– A trip to Murawai Beach New Zealand almost ends in tears as a family find their two week old 4×4 aka ‘The Beast’ trapped on a sand bank as the waves draw near. As they struggle to free the Beast they soon realise they are in for the long haul. Through grace, a small sturdy bush was near and a strap was attached to the front bar. The rope was not enough and soon something was needed to stop the car from rolling. A branch was found nearby and used to help keep the Beast from flipping. As the car slid and lifted ‘father’ holds his ground, determined to see the Beast through to the end (dodging away from being crushed if necessary). The waves tried their best to envelope the powerful Beast but soon they receded back to the depths. Help soon followed on the horizon of the beach. Every one gathered to raise one side of the Beast using air winches and digging away the other side till the Beast was finally free. A good wash was deserved and to this day the beast lives. – A dedication to my dad on Fathers day 2011 — A mighty man with a mighty heart. Music: Day of Fire – Cornerstone
